3/16/2005 Great Song!! Kate Cassidy is really an amazing singer!! And she surely knows how to perform live! This song reminds me of the Beatles in the first moments ( "I Don´t Want To Spoil The Party"), I listened to it in another version...Kate sings it amazingly, and the band that follows her plays with great competence. Mike´s guitar tone is superb... Great sax ! Congrats Kate , excellent work!!! by paulnery

3/17/2005 feel what you sing Great vocal with rocking instrumental backing. Starts out kickin' and then explores several different moods - all of which rock. Cate goes through a showcase of vocal styles, sometimes punchy and crisp, at other times sultry from screaming rock , bluesy soul just a remarkable range of feeling all under perfect control. by edrury

- Rory from the Interconnected message boards recommended your stuff to me, so I decided to give a listen to the songs on your page. I read your bio there before listening, and I noticed that you worked with people who had worked with Pat Benatar. I must say, I'm a huge fan of Pat, so I figured you had to be good... I must say, I really loved Gone From Loving. I could definitely hear the Pat Benatar influence in your vocals on that one! I'm gonna definitely hafta play that one on my show sometime. Hell, I think I'll put it in my personal playlist! Great stuff! I'd hafta say that of the other tracks, I liked All By Myself the best. I think you're right in listing Melissa Ethridge and Alanis Morrisette as similar artists, cause I can definitely hear similarities in your voice to theirs. Although, really, Gone From Loving was far and away the best song on your page in my opinion. I definitely think you should do some more hard rock stuff! Now that's a great big voice in an Etheridge meets Joplin kinda way. Comparisons are inevitable. I hope mine are flattering to you. I only saw "All Night Long" cuz of the slow connection, but it was a good'un. And you're gracious ta boot. A winning combination. Stan Arthur

All By Myself starts out as a soulful lament, which builds to an anthemic “all by myself again” hook which might sound contrived if not followed by the thoughtful “walking naked in the rain, walking barefoot in the sand”. Her soulful voice has shocking power and range. Just when you think she’s flat out , she kicks it up another notch. Duane tate
